  • Added ability to control auto-sharing mode via command-line with the help of -autoshareon and -autoshareoff parameters.

The new USB over Ethernet version 3.7 has been released today!

 

New Features:

  • Significantly optimized performance with devices that transfer large amounts of data (scanners, cameras, displays, USB storage, etc.).
  • Improved support of USB devices work via Libusb, such devices can be detected by Libusb (Libusb version 1.0.22 or newer required).
  • Implemented workaround for a problem in some broken USB drivers that could cause BSOD.
  • Stability and security improvements.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed issue on USB server where custom device names were not restored after restart for unplugged shared devices.
  • Fixed issue on USB server where auto-connect option of a callback connection was not applied on client after reconnect.
  • Fixed issue on USB server with connecting of an inactive device where clients could connect the device ahead of another client.
  • Fixed issue on USB server with forced connection of devices where other clients could connect the device ahead of the specified one.
  • Fixed issue on USB server where shared devices stayed in the Initializing state indefinitely if the parent USB hub was restarted (e.g. by user via Device Manager).
  • Fixed issue on USB client where Wacom STU-540 signature pads did not display signature on the screen.

This is mainly bugfixing release that fixes issues reported by users. Thank you all, your feedback is great and helps to improve our product!

  • Added command-line flag that allows to set auto-connection for each USB device individually, rather than globally for USB server.
  • Improved support of USB scanners.
  • Multiple general optimizations and stability improvements.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed issue on USB server where shared or auto-shared devices stuck in Initializing state after reboot until physically replugged.
  • Fixed issue on USB server where the program could ask to replug a device physically after unsharing even if it was not really required.
  • Fixed issue on USB server where inactive device did not return to active state after disabling Inactivity Timeout.
  • Fixed issue on USB server were USB clients could experience intermittent disconnections when there are exactly 32 clients were connected to a server.
  • Fixed issue on USB client where Xerox documate 3220 did not scan in color. Other scanners may be affected as well.
  • Fixed "Code 10" error in Device Manager on USB client when redirecting Arkscan 2054a printer. Other devices with similar issue may be affected as well.

  • Added support of UASP mass storage devices. They will work in UASP mode when redirected between Windows 8 or newer systems and fall back to legacy mass storage protocol when used with older systems.
